December 7, 2016, 5:00 PM - December 8, 2016, 11:59 PM
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a day set aside to celebrate the first moment of the life of Our Lady, and in particular the gracious act of God to preserve her from original sin. It is also the patronal feast day of the United States.
It is only fitting, then, that Catholics participate in the holy sacrifice of the mass on the Immaculate Conception to celebrate. In fact, the Church requires all Catholics to attend mass on December 8 or the evening before.
As such, Nativity of Our Lord will be offering the following masses in honor of the Immaculate Conception:
- Wednesday, December 7:
- 5pm anticipatory mass; No evening confessions
- Thursday, December 8:
- Masses: 7am, 8:15am, 5pm, 7pm; No confessions
