Our parish community is committed to supporting parishioners who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Grief is an individualized journey but is often eased by sharing your experience with others. As Christians, it is our desire to reach out to those who are suffering so that we might share the Gospel message of faith, hope and love. We extend an invitation to attend our support group that meets monthly from September through May. This is an open group in which you can attend at any time. Our hope is to create a confidential, safe and non-judgmental atmosphere to provide comfort in your time of sorrow.
Grief Support meets the first Thursday of each month,
September through May, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in Steiner Hall.
One to one consultation or other community resources are available through the pastoral care staff of priests and coordinator. In addition to support for the loss of a loved one, there is support for other life situations in which grief is experienced, e.g. job loss, major illness, divorce.
For additional information about Grief Support Ministry, contact our Pastoral Care Coordinator, Nancy Shatek-Suek at 651-696-5444 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Grief pamphlets are also located in the back of the church.
