Update: Eucharistic Glory Book and Consecration

For those who received Matthew Kelly’s book 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory at Christmas but were unable to discuss the book together in January, there will be another opportunity to make a Consecration on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27.

Our Christmas gift to each family was Matthew Kelly’s book, 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory. The book is a daily prayer devotional, a spiritual pilgrimage, to help us fall more in love with Jesus, our Eucharistic Lord.

A pilgrimage is a sacred journey with a specific intention. Our journey will be an inner journey, and our specific intention is to consecrate ourselves to Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist. What is a consecration? It is to devote ourselves to God and make ourselves 100 percent available to carry out His will on the earth. Through the act of consecration, we dedicate ourselves abundantly, wholeheartedly, and completely to the will of God, and promise to faithfully respond to God's grace in our lives. There are many "consecrations" in the Bible, and our reading will highlight some of those.

This, as in Advent, is to help us "Prepare the Way of the Lord", as our new parish Mission calls us to do as Nativity parishioners. The fruit of our consecration will be a deeper love for Jesus, fully present in the Eucharist. We will desire to spend more quality time with him at Mass, and in Eucharistic Adoration.

We encourage you to read through this book on your own, for 33 days, beginning Wednesday, March 26. If you miss a day, just read through the day(s) you miss, and persevere on the schedule of daily readings and prayer. Even if you miss several days, plan to consecrate yourself to the Eucharist with other parishioners on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27.

You are also invited to pray in our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at your convenience, for a 15 minutes visit each week.
