Dear Parishioners and Friends,
With great joy in our hearts, we proclaim to one another today: “Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!” This ancient greeting beautifully expresses what we celebrate this Easter Sunday, the joy of Christ risen and alive in our midst.
At the Easter Vigil, we recall the story of our salvation. The liturgy of the Word brings that story to life and we joyfully worship the risen Lord in our midst as we partake in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We do this in a spirit of thanksgiving to God who has given his own Son to die in order to rescue us from sin.
As we go out this week, may we live as people deeply touched and saved by Jesus’ death and resurrection. May our encounter with the risen Lord on our journey of faith transform us. May the resurrection lead us to become the best version of ourselves, committed to live out our Baptismal Covenant. And, may we live as people destined for our own resurrection and joyfully proclaim: Christ is risen, Alleluia, Alleluia!
“This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” -Psalm 118:24
May God bless your week and Easter Season,
